Overview:
This innovative mono-dose eyedrop reduces waste by using minimal plastic and recyclable foil. It provides 8 single-use doses for an 8-day treatment, ensuring easy, controlled use with no storage needed, promoting both sustainability and health.
Main Challenges:
Single-Use Design: Ensuring the container was easy to use, precise, and prevent contamination or leakage while being optimized for one-time use.
Material Selection: Choosing sustainable, durable, and recyclable materials that still meet functionality and cost requirements.
User Experience: Designing an intuitive dispenser with controlled flow to prevent overuse, while keeping it easy to handle.
Compactness vs. Functionality: Balancing the need for a small, convenient design with enough capacity for a proper dose.
Sustainability vs. Cost: Finding the right balance between eco-friendly materials, cost-effectiveness, and meeting regulatory standards.
Sustainability
The primary focus of our blister mono-dose eyedrop design is the reduction of waste, both medicine and plastic consumption. By utilizing a minimal amount of plastic and incorporating recyclable aluminum foil for the blister, we have made significant strides toward a more sustainable product.
Each package of our eyedrop contains 4 clusters, with each cluster comprising 8 mono-dose units. The recommended usage entails administering the eyedrop four times a day, resulting in a maximum of 8 days of treatment period.

Usability
Our blister eyedrop container holds approximately 0.2 milliliters, equivalent to approximately 4 drops of medicine, which is a sufficient amount for a single use. The container features a soft, easily squeezable shape for effortless administration.
To facilitate drop control, we have incorporated a long neck, while the dashed lines on the neck allow for simple lid opening. As the mono-dose is intended for one-time use, there is no need to store it.
